Monte Hummel (BA 1969 VIC, MA 1970, MSc 1979), president of World Wildlife Fund Canada, was among the 92 honourees at the Arbor Awards held Sept. 13 at the president’s residence. A graduate of the Faculty of Forestry, Hummel was acknowledged for his advocacy of sustainable forest management and for communicating the importance of conservation through public outreach and mentoring. He has also served on the Dean’s Advisory Board, Faculty of Forestry.
Established in 1989, the Arbor Awards have since recognized 930 alumni and friends for dedicated service to U of T programs, events, task forces, boards and committees.
