Twenty-two members of the Engineering Class of 1947 have created a $270,000 scholarship endowment, eligible for a match under the Ontario Government Scholarship for Science and Training program, which will encourage recent graduates to continue their studies or explore careers in academia. “We need people who are talented, who want to live and breathe engineering,” says William Gansler, president of the Class of ’47 and former president of DataSur, a business consulting firm in Sarnia, Ont.
