Yuyi Fu (MBA 2009) was walking in Toronto’s King West district when he caught sight of this golden retriever perched at a window ledge. Something made him stop. “To me he wasn’t a dog waiting for a master, but a man, waiting for his family to come home,” he says.

Although he works in IT and recently completed an MBA at U of T, Fu is no stranger to artistic pursuits. As a computer science undergrad, he won the Best Actor Award for his performance in Anton Chekhov’s short play The Marriage Proposal. His portrayal must have been convincing — his costar later went on to become his wife.

While Fu says he takes pictures as a hobby, his passion isn’t at all trivial. “I am just a guy with a camera, trying to capture the touching moments of life and the world around me, and hoping they may also touch others.”
